About Kudos

Kudos Gospel Choir is a vibrant and passionate musical collective that exudes the joy and power of gospel music.

Formed in November 2019, just four months before the onset of global lockdowns, Kudos Gospel Choir has persevered and has had the privilege of uplifting people through some of their most challenging times.

After winning the BBC’s Songs of Praise Gospel Choir of the Year 2024, Kudos is looking forward to inspiring new audiences near and far.

I have had so many comments about Friday and people have wanted to say how much they enjoyed the services but felt they were the wrong words as it was a funeral. I think in my conversations we settled on phrases such as a lovely celebration of her and her life and an event worthy of who she was.

As a funeral director, there are occasions where we are asked to source musicians to assist with the important role of supporting congregational singing or by adding a musical tone to Proceedings.

Using Kudos Gospel Choir has not only benefited the families we look after but they have provided a seamless service and one that we can trust and rely on.

I would 100% recommend Leon Dixon and the Kudos Gospel choir for any event.

I contacted Leon to play and provide a small choir and a band (drummer, bass guitar, and pianist) for my mothers funeral service. He also played keys and provided singers and a sound system at the graveside.

Leon was so professional and patient with us at such a difficult time, helping us come up with songs for the day.

Everyone played and sang so wonderfully. The day was beautiful. They really made it what it was. I would use them again, hopefully next time its a happier occasion :)
